Effective date: to be set at launch
Draft for counsel review before launchOur commitment
Everyone deserves to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we have done
- Text and background colors meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios, including on dark sections.
- Everything on the site works with a keyboard alone: navigation, the qualifier tool, and the Nia demo, with a visible focus indicator at every step.
- A "skip to content" link, proper landmarks, and a logical heading order on every page.
- All animation stops for visitors whose devices ask for reduced motion, with no content lost.
- Screen-reader labels on interactive elements, live-region announcements for the qualifier's results, and text alternatives for meaningful images. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Touch targets sized for real hands, and text that reflows down to small screens without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
This site is under active development. If a page or feature does not work with your assistive technology, we want to know, and we will fix it or provide the same help another way, including by phone.
