Privacy policy
Effective date: to be set at launch
Draft for counsel review before launchThe short version
We use your information to help you shop for and enroll in insurance. We do not sell it. That is the whole idea. The rest of this page spells it out.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you call us or ask for a callback, we collect what you share: your name, phone number, state, household size, income range, and details about the coverage you want, like your doctors and prescriptions.
- Information from your enrollment. If you enroll through us, we keep your policy details so your agent and Nia can help you all year.
- Website usage. Basic, non-identifying analytics about how the site is used. The qualifier tool on our homepage runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type into it is sent to us.
How we use it
- To help you compare plans and enroll, which is the service you asked for.
- To manage your coverage year-round: reminders, renewal prep, and answers to your questions.
- To meet legal requirements that apply to licensed insurance producers, including record-keeping.
Who we share it with
- Insurance companies, when you choose a plan and ask us to enroll you.
- The Health Insurance Marketplace, as part of the application you authorize.
- Service providers that run our phones and systems, under contracts that limit what they can do with it.
- Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Calls and texts
If you ask us to call or text you, we will, about your coverage. You can tell us to stop at any time. Calls may be recorded for quality and compliance; we will tell you at the start of the call.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what the law allows us to delete. Some records must be kept for a period set by insurance regulations. Residents of states with privacy laws, including Texas, Florida, and Tennessee, may have additional rights under those laws.
